Those We Support
The Schlaifer Family Foundation is proud to support Mariposa Women’s Behavioral Health Hospital, a 32-bed psychiatric and wellness facility dedicated exclusively to women in Tampa, Florida.
Developed by Ibis Healthcare, Mariposa was created in response to a critical need for accessible, compassionate behavioral healthcare designed around the unique experiences of women. The facility provides a safe, supportive environment where women can receive comprehensive care while navigating some of life’s most difficult challenges.
Mariposa provides trauma-informed care for women experiencing conditions and circumstances including anxiety, depression, PTSD, postpartum depression, domestic violence, and substance use challenges. Its care model brings together 24/7 crisis assessment, individual and group therapy, psychiatric care, nursing support, and holistic therapies such as yoga, mindfulness, meditation, art therapy, and therapeutic recreation.
The name Mariposa, meaning butterfly in Spanish, represents transformation, grace, and the possibility of renewal. That idea is at the heart of the facility’s mission: creating a place where women can begin their journey toward healing and a healthier future.
Mariposa is also committed to ensuring that women can access care regardless of their ability to pay, helping remove financial barriers for those who need support most.
Why We Support Mariposa
Mental health is an important area of focus for the Schlaifer Family Foundation. We believe that access to compassionate, quality care can change the trajectory of an individual's life and have a lasting impact on families and communities.
We are honored to support Ibis Healthcare and the Mariposa team as they work to expand access to behavioral healthcare and create a space where women can feel safe, supported, and empowered to heal.
The Schlaifer Family Foundation is proud to support Project Healthy Minds, an organization working to make mental health care more accessible, understandable, and available to more people.
Mental health touches individuals, families, and communities in profound ways, yet too many people struggle to find the support and care they need. Project Healthy Minds is working to change that by bringing together philanthropists, business and civic leaders, researchers, and culture-makers to address the mental health crisis and expand access to meaningful resources and care. Project Healthy Minds
Through its Trailblazers Collective, Project Healthy Minds brings together leaders who are committed to creating long-term change. The Collective supports the organization's work to expand access to mental health services, advocate for innovative approaches to mental healthcare, and help bring mental health conversations out into the open. Why We Support Project Healthy Minds
Mental health is an important part of building healthy individuals, strong families, and thriving communities. We believe supporting organizations that are working to break down barriers to care and change the way society approaches mental health can create an impact that reaches far beyond the individual.
We are honored to support Project Healthy Minds and its vision for a future where getting help is easier, talking about mental health is normalized, and everyone has the opportunity to find the support they need.
